Broadmoor STEM Academy empowers all students to embrace learning, achieve their personal best and build their emotional, social, and physical well-being.

Broadmoor is located in the heart of Shreveport. It was originally built as Broadmoor Jr. High School for students in grades 7-9 until it underwent a drastic change in 1984 to become a middle school with grades 6-8. Broadmoor became a laboratory school when a partnership was established with area colleges and universities to train student teachers. Thereafter, Broadmoor established a magnet component for all three grade levels. In 2020, Broadmoor became a STEM Academy to meet 21st century technology demands in the STEM/Cyber fields. The academy now enrolls prekindergarten through eighth grade.
